Vutrisiran and Breastfeeding

Summary of use during lactation

No information is available on the clinical use of vutrisiran during breastfeeding. Because vutrisiran is a large oligonucleotide, the amount in milk is likely to be very low and absorption by the infant is probably minimal. If vutrisiran is required by the mother, it is not a reason to discontinue breastfeeding. Until more data become available, use vutrisiran with caution during breastfeeding, especially while nursing a newborn or preterm infant.
